Galaxy S6 - 6 popular smart functions you need to know

If you have a Galaxy S6 probably you don’t have time to sift through all the software features that the smartphone offers. The new top of the line Samsung added useful new features to improve usability. So check six popular smart functions that you should know.

Find My Mobile

Like the "Find My iPhone" from Apple, Samsung has a location service for lost or stolen devices. This service is not enabled by default on your Galaxy. You need to create a Samsung account, link this account to your device and activate the service.

To activate it, create a Samsung account through the "Account" menu in your Galaxy or through the website: https://findmymobile.samsung.com/login.do. After registration, go to "Settings", "Lock screen and security" and tap "Find My Phone". Tell your login details, and activate the tools "Remote Controls", "Google's location service" and "reactivation lock".

Simply put, you get the precise location of your lost smartphone, but it can also use the site's tools to make the device sound an audible alert, enter the emergency mode or erase all recorded data.

Automatic Answer

This feature makes your Galaxy automatically answer a call after two seconds, whenever you are connected to a Bluetooth headset or the multimedia system of your car. The tool will be very useful at times when you are in traffic or busy.

Activation is simple, just go to the dialer. On the upper right, the "More" menu, tap the "Settings" option. Go to the "Auto Answer" and activate it.

Manual Zoom

To improve the browsing experience, Samsung implemented a feature in standard internet browser that lets you zoom in on pages, making it easy to read. When surfing the Internet by smartphone, most sites is performed on the mobile format, and one of the restrictions "imposed" by this navigation mode is the zoom level that can be applied to the page. Therefore, the new tool can be very useful.

To enable it, open the Samsung standard Internet browser, tap the "More" menu in the top right corner of the screen, and then the "Settings" option. Look and activate the "Apply manual zoom" option.

Mini Applications

The TouchWiz interface of the Galaxy S6 lets you resize in smaller windows open applications, and continue to run them normally. The system limits the number of five windows open at the same time, which allows a more fluid experience using the applications. The only shortcoming of this feature is that it can not be turned off once it is activated.

To create the windows open applications by simply sliding your finger from the top right to the center, thus creating a "mini" application.

Intelligent Manager

The Smart Manager is a native application's TouchWiz interface that displays important information about the status of your Galaxy S6. The application works as an information management center, which are displayed in real time as battery consumption, storage space, occupied RAM and even the security status.

By clicking on each item, the corresponding settings menu it will show. The security option, the system allows the creation of smartphone usage profiles (work or personal), enable Samsung KNOX, which protects your Galaxy malicious attacks and still enable the native anti-malware system McAfee.

Downloads Accelerator

As the name implies, when activated, this feature speeds up file downloads over 30 MB, combining Wi-Fi network with 4G plan. In practice, gain speed in downloads is sensitive. So it is good to use with caution to prevent your plan's data allowance is consumed faster.
