The G Pad line of tablets is not exactly a novelty. The company had already launched last year another model in the line, but was focused more robust settings. However, ultimately the product could not be competitive in the market and not just charting much.
For 2014, LG has decided to renew the G Pad line, making it the most popular devices. The V400 version, for example, hits stores at a more affordable price and provides intermediate, but enough to put it among the most popular options at the moment category specifications. Our impressions of the new G Pad 7.0 is what you give in this analysis.
Design
There is a lot of innovation in terms of design the LG G Pad 7.0. The visual, very reminiscent of other models in the same price range as the Memopad, ASUS. However, the fact that no news in this sense is not a downside, however. The design is nice and the model shows very light in the hands.
The side edges have about 1 inch thick and the top and bottom edges arrive at 2 cm. On the right side are the volume controls and power button. At the bottom there is ema entrance to the micro USB cable and the top entries are the headphone jack and micro SD card.
Furthermore, the model has infrared sensor, allowing you to use it as a remote control for your electronic. The back cover is not removable and the finish is matte plastic, which leaves a very smooth surface, a risk for those who usually hold the tablet with one hand.
Screen
The quality of the screen is a point where the tablet from LG does not lack. A resolution of 1280x800 pixels is sufficient for the display of much of the contents, so that the device is recommended for those who like games or watch many series and movies.
Under intense light or even in the sun, the visibility of the tablet is good and there is little effect reflexes. The response to touch is also extremely satisfying. The model is also compatible with the KnockOn feature, which allows it to be turned on and off by touching the screen.
Performance and interface
Standardizing the interface that is already present in G3 LG, the LG G Pad 7.0 does not slip in performance because of its interface. The transition between screens is fluid and switching between apps do not show any type of locking in our tests.
Even in games that require more graphics power, as Injustice and GT Racing 2, run quietly in the tablet of the South Korean company. Thus, even if the unit not perform as well as other products with greater processing capacity, in general it is possible to run almost everything available in the Play Store not bothering.
Battery life
In our tests, the battery life was one of the strengths of the tablet from LG. Using the product sparingly, with internet access via WiFi for reading email, running apps social networking, using the camera and even run some games, it was possible to spend almost two days with the unit on without the need to reload the battery.
Already in a way to more frequent use, with viewing movies and series via Netflix, just over six hours were sufficient to completely deplete the battery of the tablet. Compared to its competitors, the model is within the expected range, so that guarantees peace of mind for the consumer, which can leave the tranquil house in the morning without the charger and return at night even with a load on the device.
Cameras
On a tablet, the cameras are not usually as items that consumers demand, and because of this, few manufacturers pay attention to this item. In the case of the LG G Pad 7.0, do not expect anything beyond the basics in this regard. The front camera has 1.3 megapixel resolution while the rear camera comes with 3.1 megapixels.
The same quality is average when compared to other models of the same category, since it is common to find devices with a resolution of at least 5 megapixels. However, the end result ends up functioning as a good stopgap and will certainly meet their primary needs. If you expect something in addition to your tablet, then the G Pad 7.0 is not a good choice.
Audio Quality
The LG tablet is not accompanied by headphones, but this is a fairly common feature on devices in the same price range. Already in the case of the ambient sound of the G Pad 7.0, the result is efficient. There are two speakers located at the rear of the product and at least one of them ends up being covered when the device is held horizontally.
Worth it?
Renew G Pad line and make the product more accessible to consumers seems to have been a wise decision from LG. If the model presented before intermediate settings and a little competitive price, now the tablet brings simple and objective specifications, but hits stores by an average value of between R $ 500 and R $ 600.
With good quality battery, screen and a fairly satisfactory ergonomic design, the tablet reveals a pleasant surprise, supplying the needs of most consumers. On the other hand, those looking for a good quality camera or more robust settings for games may end up disappointed.
If you're looking for a basic model, quite portable and cost-effective, certainly worth considering the LG handset on its list of acquisitions. On the other hand, if you're looking for a model that is among the most powerful in the market, it is best to seek other alternatives.
