Microsoft is even willing to have at least one product in each segment of the mobile market: the company introduced the Universal Mobile Keyboard, a physical keyboard with support for mobile devices run on iOS, Android and Windows (both tablets as smartphones).
Totally wireless and operating via Bluetooth, the keyboard is for those who use the tablet normally only the touch screen, but need to send an email or a longer text at any given time. The idea is also to provide a good accessory for use of Office suites for mobile operating systems.
To connect the keyboard, just open the cover of the accessory, and the counteraction is to turn it off. There is a "Home" button to take you to the home screen of the device.
The product is not just for typing: the cover protects the device and can be deployed in a more comfortable position. Closed, it has 1.2 cm thick. The keyboard itself and the cover are 24.2 cm long and 10.9 cm in height.
The Universal Mobile Keyoboard runs from a rechargeable battery that provides up to six months of use under a load that lasts a single night. Ten minutes into the outlet already provide eight hours of operation, according to the manufacturer, and power status can be checked on the accessory.
Available in black and silver (and without the Microsoft logo on the front, just on the cover), the keyboard still has no release date, but will be sold on the company website for $ 79.95.
