The WorkForce WF-100W is one of the novelties of Epson, shown at IFA, electronics fair which takes place in Berlin, Germany. It is a portable printer, with only 1.6kg and 309 x 154 x 61mm in size, which, according to the manufacturer, is the "lightest and smallest in the world."
Designed for portable use, it has a battery that recharges via USB or electrical current, with a special adapter - and the company has not announced how long the battery can last. But, in about fifteen minutes in the company's booth, seeing the WF-100W nonstop printing color documents, it is thought that autonomy is well priced.
The printer, which fits into a folder, has LCD display, Wi-Fi, direct Wi-Fi and is compatible with remote printing protocols such as AirPrint and the Cloudprint. For reasons of size, it only works with A4 paper size.
The WF-100W should reach European stores in November, and its price here will be 299 euros. According to company executives, it should reach the Brazilian market, but there are still no deadlines.
