To avoid compatibility issues, by default, Microsoft offers to download the 32 bit version of Office 365 - which also runs on 64-bit systems. If your computer has compatible processor and a 64-bit version of Windows installed, you can opt for 64-bit Office, for maximum application performance. Check out how to download and install on your computer.
Step 1: Login to your account in the Office (site office.com/myaccount ).
Click "Language and installation options";
Step 2: Then click on "Additional Installation Options";
Step 3: Finally, select "Office (64 bit)", the "Version" field and click "Install";
Step 4: To install Office, just run the downloaded file. Applications are installed in the background, just as happens with the 32-bit version.
