Undoubtedly, LG is one of the companies that has the largest number of smartphones available in the market. Just to give you an idea, recently the South Korean company announced the arrival of nine models to national stores, facing all kinds of audiences.
Among them, one of the attractions is the dual sim with in-built digital TV tuner, a device built specifically for the Brazilian market. With intermediate settings, the smartphone has features that are always preferred among consumers in Brazil: support two SIM card, FM radio and digital TV.
Design
With 5-inch screen, the model L80 Dual TV is among the appliances of class intermediaries, one of the devices with larger screen size available. This feature, coupled with the fact that its thickness reaches nearly 1 centimeter causes the consumer has the feeling of being with a "wide" device in hands. The spaces are small edges, which demonstrates a good use of the front.
With removable battery, the machine shows the sides only "power" buttons and volume control. The USB port is located on the bottom and output for headphones is located on top. The back cover is constructed of polycarbonate and has a rough texture, which prevents the device sliding hands. Compatible with digital TV, at the top there is even a built-in antenna that can be removed and folded 360 degrees.
Quality screen and interface
The 5-inch screen puts the L80 Dual TV between devices with the more generous option category. The resolution of 800x480 pixels, though not the highest, is offset by the quality of the appliance and IPS LCD screen with good brightness and luminosity conditions, the result is a competent and efficient screen for virtually all tasks.
The reflectivity level is low, so that the device can be used in bright light or in open environments without major problems. With respect to the interface, the modifications applied by LG not make version 4.4 the slower Android, bringing a beautiful look and it turns out not to consume more memory than necessary.
Performance
Although positioned between intermediaries, some features of the device that could be perceived in our tests may leave consumers on alert. The Model 200 has a Snapdragon processor and 1 GB of RAM for running apps supply and games. When running the game GT Racing 2, for example, he presented crashes in some cases, but overall it was possible to have fun with the game..
Have games that require less processing power are performed without difficulty. The transition between apps is also made satisfactorily, but like many gadgets the configuration, keep an app for memory optimization is always a good thing.
In practice, we expected a little more L80 Dual TV in this regard, but the results do not quite dismal. However, it is impossible not to mention that there are devices with similar characteristics that have had the best performance in our tests.
Camera
The rear camera of the LG L80 is 8 megapixel with LED flash player account. This ensures good quality pictures even in low-light settings, a very positive point for the smartphone, within its limitations. There are some special capture modes, like automatic shooting that saves up to six images, but consider it too slow. Finally, the videos are recorded in 480p at 30 frames per second, maximum resolution that can disappoint a lot of people.
Battery life
In our tests, the battery L80 proved within the average of the other competitors in the category. With moderate use, we spend all day with the device and get home late at night with the load in the range of 20%. Have a more intense use, such as playing games or movies, suffice just over six hours to drain completely charge the smartphone. There is an item in the product stand out, but it certainly will not let you down.
Audio Quality
The audio quality is another plus point of the LG L80. The output of the speaker is located on the back of the product, which can make the sound a bit muffled by hands while running games. Even with the volume at maximum, the distortion levels are small. The unit has been tracking for single ear headphones, but they fulfill their function well.
Digital TV and FM Radio
The LG L80 was developed focusing on the Brazilian market. Because of this, items such as Digital TV and FM Radio appear as the main features available in the product. The tools are easy to use and the quality of the TV signal received by the phone is extremely satisfactory. The built-in antenna prevents you from having to carry extra items.
Button to Switch from one service provider to another
The L80 smartphone brings a novelty for those who use two SIM card: in front of the unit, there is a button to return chip. This allows the user to switch easily from one service provider to another. But unfortunately there is not an intelligent recognition of the secondary SIM card.
Worth it?
Intermediate between smartphones, the LG L80 is not what has the more affordable price. The official launch price is $ 999 and, in terms of hardware, you can find more advanced at a more affordable handsets. However, the hardware is not the main focus of this product.
Developed focusing on the Brazilian consumer, the LG L80 brings support for FM Radio, digital TV, dual SIM card and 5 inch screen. These differentials are hard to find in an intermediate model, which makes it quite full and thus can justify its price.
In terms of performance we expected a little more. Video recording is also far from satisfactory. However, ultimately the device excels in several items that propose to make a difference, which makes it an alternative to be considered by those seeking a model with these characteristics.
